Nurdes Gomez, a Miami native, is a passionate People Operations professional
with over 16 years of experience. Her approach is rooted in compassion, process
improvement, and a genuine dedication to employee development.
Nurdes’s journey includes a 13-year tenure at Baptist Health South Florida, actively contributing to employee growth and satisfaction at multiple hospitals. Her three-year
tenure at Health System Solutions marked her entry into the start-up environment.
In December 2021, Nurdes embraced the role of HR Manager then Director of People Operations at eMed, a technology start-up dedicated to Democratizing Healthcare.
Over the last 2 years, eMed has grown from 70 to 1300 team members, with an expanded product line from 1 to 7, and two acquisitions leading to a global expansion. eMed is the preferred telehealth provider of the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the US and the National Health System (NHS) in the UK. eMed is proud to partner with community programs and local universities to advocate and cultivate junior and underrepresented talent.
In 2024, she was honored by Steven Douglas with the Excellence in Human Resources Award and by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce as the HR Leader of the Year.
As of Summer 2024, Nurdes has begun the journey toward ICF certification via the renowned Center for Executive Coaching program achieving an Executive Coaching Certification from the University of Kansas.
